Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) San Sebastián's Nicolao Negro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaizko Benito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolao Negro in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Nicolao Negro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gaizko Benito, passed just outside the right post. When San Sebastián's Nicolao Negro in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gaizko Benito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolao Negro in the 29th minute of play. Anchel Andres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gaizko Benito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Albarizas's goalkeeper Gaizko Benito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anchel Andres. Emilio Babia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaizko Benito was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Nicolao Negro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicolao Negro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Albarizas's Indalecio Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Babia to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anchel Andres in the 52nd minute of play forced Albarizas's goalkeeper Gaizko Benito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anchel Andres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mino Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Indalecio Ortega fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albarizas's protests and gave Indalecio Ortega a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Albarizas getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Indalecio Ortega hit a great ball. With a little luck, San Sebastián's Luis-Javier Castro got control of the ball when Indalecio Ortega tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Sebastián's Luis-Javier Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Babia in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of San Sebastián booed when Albarizas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gení Higuera didn't get a good kick on the ball.
