With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitor Ortiz in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolás Iglesias saved Galbarruli CF from getting behind. Dolfo Sobera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Morera having to interfere. Nicolás Iglesias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitor Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Morera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reno Montes in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Reyes Talavera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puente Nuevo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galbarruli CF the free kick. 24 minutes into the game, one of Puente Nuevo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jacinto Morera went to the wrong direction when Antxo Torres was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Reno Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reno Montes was the one to do the kick off. Herminio Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nicolás Iglesias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match, Reno Montes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jacinto Morera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jacinto Morera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reno Montes in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Herminio Quintana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolás Iglesias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jacinto Morera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reno Montes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Dolfo Sobera got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reno Montes in the 71st minute of play forced Puente Nuevo FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Morera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vitor Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolás Iglesias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Puente Nuevo FC's Herminio Quintana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolás Iglesias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Reno Montes in the 91st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jacinto Morera kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. With a little luck, Puente Nuevo FC's Jacinto Morera got control of the ball when Dolfo Sobera tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Galbarruli CF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galbarruli CF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
