Montfulla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Velazquez got free with Adolfo Garcia in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Monte Claro getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aristides Colsa hit a great ball. Lucas Velazquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Garcia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montfulla's Freddy Landa got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Lucas Velazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Cucao Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Freddy Landa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montfulla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte Claro the free kick. A collision led to Montfulla getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. The crowd rose to their feet as Monte Claro's Cucao Alonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Garcia. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. In the 31st minute, Luis-Antonio Saez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leroy Cuervas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Damian Bodelon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cucao Alonso was the one to do the kick off. Iosu Torrent kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th minute Cucao Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Iosu Torrent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Montfulla's zone, Cucao Alonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Garcia came out of the goal and Cucao Alonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Cucao Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Claro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cucao Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Monte Claro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Romero to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cucao Alonso in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monte Claro's Cucao Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Montfulla's Adolfo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Velazquez in the 84th minute of play. Freddy Landa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nereo Mondejar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Damian Bodelon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nereo Mondejar. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Damian Bodelon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
