Gonzalo Ibanez struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Baldemar Gonzáles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castellçiutat. In the 16th minute Julen Bastida suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Baltazar Clos fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U.D. Faneque 's protests and gave Baltazar Clos a yellow card for diving instead. Baltazar Clos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of U.D. Faneque :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Castellçiutat:s goal. When Gelmiro Maldonado came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Castellçiutat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelmiro Maldonado couldn't finish the play. Urbasa Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Alcaraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Cruz having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Baltazar Clos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Urbasa Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Lisandro Alcaraz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacques Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Alcaraz to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in U.D. Faneque 's zone, Gelmiro Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldemar Gonzáles came out of the goal and Gelmiro Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gelmiro Maldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Baldemar Gonzáles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Domenech Ocaña managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.D. Faneque 's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenech Ocaña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacques Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Lisandro Alcaraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacques Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gelmiro Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortun Bajo's late challenge caught a U.D. Faneque 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortun Bajo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Domenech Ocaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tacito Duran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baldemar Gonzáles. U.D. Faneque 's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Gelmiro Maldonado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castellçiutat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelmiro Maldonado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Gelmiro Maldonado notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of U.D. Faneque 's Baldemar Gonzáles. Baldemar Gonzáles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Urbasa Navarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jacques Cruz made a huge save. After recieving a nice pass, U.D. Faneque 's Lonzo Litago tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, U.D. Faneque 's goal looked a bit too open when Gelmiro Maldonado came free, but Baldemar Gonzáles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paulo Turienzo fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castellçiutat's protests and gave Paulo Turienzo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Castellçiutat's Paulo Turienzo got a free kick in the 91st minute. Lonzo Litago, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Domenech Ocaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 97th minute, Lisandro Alcaraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Castellçiutat's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
