Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ponciano Dagora kicked off to start the match. Juan Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Seftelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejo Azeari in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Casillas saved Aribe from getting behind. In the 6th minute, Alejo Azeari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Casillas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tebaldo Peña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Casillas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. When AT.Madrid's Dimitris Seftelis in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aribe's goalie prevented a goal. Juan Casillas came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by AT.Madrid's Alejo Azeari. But to his dismay, Alejo Azeari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 20 minutes, Alejo Azeari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AT.Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Azeari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ametz Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Garrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When AT.Madrid's Alejo Azeari in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aribe's goalie prevented a goal. Alejo Azeari scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Casillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Cordeiro Darroja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, AT.Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Ponciano Dagora came free, but Ametz Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
AT.Madrid's Tebaldo Peña got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The AT.Madrid fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when AT.Madrid's Alejo Azeari looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of AT.Madrid booed when Aribe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponciano Dagora struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ametz Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aribe. Ametz Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oro Barbosa in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oro Barbosa in the 66th minute of play forced AT.Madrid's goalkeeper Ametz Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Tebaldo Peña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Aribe getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Manolo Garrido hit a great ball. Juan Casillas made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Alejo Azeari sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, AT.Madrid's Alejo Azeari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Casillas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alejo Azeari came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the AT.Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Azeari couldn't finish the play. Dimitris Seftelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Juan Casillas made a huge save. Alejo Azeari didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-6 via right post in the game's 81st minute. AT.Madrid's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejo Azeari got free with Juan Casillas in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejo Azeari scored 1-7 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Casillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over AT.Madrid could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aribe throughout the match.
