Las Peñicas FC's Diagur Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Coira in the 28th minute of play. Peru Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galeno Portillo having to interfere. Galeno Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medero Vadillos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Galeno Portillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peru Leal in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtsin Maldonado in the 46th minute of play forced Pangulí's goalkeeper Galeno Portillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bibiano Dobale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Las Peñicas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Medero Vadillos to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Las Peñicas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bibiano Dobale came free, but Diagur Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Cayo Izquierdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
