After a defensive mix-up in Portichol's zone, Carlitos Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Batuecas came out of the goal and Carlitos Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Batuecas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlitos Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frances Rosas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Camacho having to interfere. Prudencio Batuecas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmau Santander in the 17th minute. When Dalmau Santander came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the CD Toledo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmau Santander couldn't finish the play. Prudencio Batuecas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Uriel Camacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Herrero in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Dalmau Santander notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Portichol's Prudencio Batuecas. Prudencio Batuecas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlitos Navarro was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Portichol's zone, Dalmau Santander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Batuecas came out of the goal and Dalmau Santander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, CD Toledo's Alain Quintas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Frances Rosas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Uriel Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlitos Navarro in the 56th minute of play forced Portichol's goalkeeper Prudencio Batuecas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tito Jofre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prudencio Batuecas having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Joan Jorquera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portichol's supporters rose to their feet, but Joan Jorquera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Camacho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uriel Camacho made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Frances Rosas sent off a good shot on target. When CD Toledo's Dalmau Santander in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Prudencio Batuecas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmau Santander, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Frances Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joan Jorquera fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portichol's protests and gave Joan Jorquera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portichol's goalkeeper Prudencio Batuecas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Quintas in the 95th minute of play forced Portichol's goalkeeper Prudencio Batuecas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Portichol's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Portichol may have spent more time on the ball, but CD Toledo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
