Rufo Griful made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeruko Carrasco in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the cañiza defense, Jerrald Japón kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rufo Griful. The cañiza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rufo Griful should have stopped the shot. Rufo Griful took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrald Japón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes, Silvestre Breogan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the cañiza and the Mavericks players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rufo Griful showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerrald Japón in the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Huarte during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, cañiza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Huarte to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Zeruko Carrasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anter De Paula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Breogan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jerrald Japón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but cañiza's Rufo Griful was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anter De Paula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Ignazio in the 25th minute of play. Chinto Orozco hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Jerrald Japón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufo Griful was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Jerrald Japón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufo Griful saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The cañiza players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mavericks were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Breogan to make the kick off. Jerrald Japón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordareo Domingo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Mavericks's Anter De Paula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Ignazio in the 55th minute of play. Jerrald Japón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvestre Breogan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cordareo Domingo fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mavericks's protests and gave Cordareo Domingo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of cañiza booed when Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordareo Domingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerrald Japón's late challenge caught a cañiza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerrald Japón helped the player get up and apologised. Jerrald Japón hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Anter De Paula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Breogan in the 71st minute of the match. Rufo Griful made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrald Japón in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barto Lara during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mavericks booed when cañiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barto Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerrald Japón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rufo Griful tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Mavericks's Zeruko Carrasco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rufo Griful. Rufo Griful yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. A collision led to Mavericks getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Chinto Orozco hit a great ball. Silvestre Breogan scored 1-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anter De Paula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Mavericks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than cañiza throughout the match.
