In the 11th match minute, betis siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Olmedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Lorenzo Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Llorian Barroso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alirio Baltanas in the 23rd minute of play forced betis siempre's goalkeeper Llorian Barroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 27 minutes on the clock, Lucian Doblas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Lecaun SD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of betis siempre:s goal. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for betis siempre. Federico Dulce stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacob Benedicto. 1-1. If Serafín Verdaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Benedicto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafín Verdaguer in the 37th minute of the match. Jacob Benedicto made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Javier Olmedo sent off a good shot on target. Serafín Verdaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Benedicto having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lecaun SD's zone, Javier Olmedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Benedicto came out of the goal and Javier Olmedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Javier Olmedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. betis siempre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Olmedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alirio Baltanas was the one to do the kick off. Alirio Baltanas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lecaun SD! Jacob Benedicto went to the wrong direction when Federico Dulce was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Alirio Baltanas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacob Benedicto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafín Verdaguer in the 68th minute of the match. Javier Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafín Verdaguer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dei Santiago's late challenge caught a Lecaun SD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dei Santiago helped the player get up and apologised. Jacob Vicente charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacob Vicente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacob Vicente kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Serafín Verdaguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jacob Benedicto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Benedicto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Olmedo in the 88th minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, betis siempre's Serafín Verdaguer made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacob Benedicto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 98th minute, Eugenio Sanz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lecaun SD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
