Baraquiel Noya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mendebal Coello in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Barros Bajo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codeseda the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Villena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barros Bajo to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Izar Casanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crispo Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Villena's Izar Casanova nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Crispo Vega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Leonides Pascual who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Baraquiel Noya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd match minute, Villena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barros Bajo to maneuver through the defense. Baraquiel Noya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mendebal Coello in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Leonides Pascual took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Baraquiel Noya to make any attempt to save it. Crispo Vega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ventura Pais in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Máximo Camacho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Codeseda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villena the free kick. The supporters of Villena booed when Codeseda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Camacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izar Casanova's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Crispo Vega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ventura Pais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Crispo Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Codeseda's zone, Izar Casanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crispo Vega came out of the goal and Izar Casanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ventura Pais struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Crispo Vega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villena. The audience was convinced that Ventura Pais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Crispo Vega was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Izar Casanova to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Villena's goal looked a bit too open when Mendebal Coello came free, but Baraquiel Noya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Leonides Pascual managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codeseda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Pascual was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Leonides Pascual notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Villena's Baraquiel Noya. Baraquiel Noya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Crispo Vega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izar Casanova in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Barros Bajo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Crispo Vega, 2-2. In the 82nd minute, Ventura Pais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Crispo Vega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izar Casanova in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Codeseda's Domeka Turienzo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Ventura Pais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispo Vega having to interfere. Codeseda's Leonides Pascual got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mendebal Coello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Baraquiel Noya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicanor Casta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
