A throw-in in the 6th minute of the game was made by Bela Cartagena with Paulino Bellido as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, Rayo Cordobés's Tabb Gene got a free kick in the 9th minute. Bela Cartagena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lalo Teresa. Rayo Cordobés's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Montez Pujol came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Rayo Cordobés fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Montez Pujol couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Villanopa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Montez Pujol came free, but Hector Hevia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Villanopa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aliecer Labarra to maneuver through the defense. Hector Hevia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montez Pujol in the 20th minute of play. Bela Cartagena made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rayo Cordobés's Cristo Garate. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Montez Pujol in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Hevia saved Villanopa FC from getting behind. Rayo Cordobés's Cristo Garate managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paulino Bellido in the 28 minute of the game. Domingo Nobo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Lalo Teresa made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Domingo Nobo sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Ranolfo Lacorte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Montez Pujol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Hevia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ranolfo Lacorte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lalo Teresa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Montez Pujol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hevia having to interfere. Cristo Garate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Hector Hevia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alanzo Maestro to strike the kick off in the second half. Lalo Teresa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alanzo Maestro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Montez Pujol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villanopa FC's Hector Hevia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lalo Teresa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alanzo Maestro's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Aliecer Labarra hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Rayo Cordobés's Cristo Garate managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bela Cartagena in the 72 minute of the game. Montez Pujol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hevia having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Domingo Nobo made a precise shot to the right of Lalo Teresa. Rayo Cordobés's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 87 minutes of play, Rayo Cordobés's Montez Pujol made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Hevia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Ranolfo Lacorte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lalo Teresa. Rayo Cordobés's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ranolfo Lacorte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Montez Pujol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Many of Rayo Cordobés's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Rayo Cordobés may have spent more time on the ball, but Villanopa FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
