Hilario Valdés hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Batuecas was the one to do the kick off. Apolo Vagrande hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play, Estudiantes LP's Ranolfo Jofre made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristeo Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Batuecas in the 60th minute of play forced Estudiantes LP's goalkeeper Pelayo Pabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vegadeo getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Higinio Batuecas hit a great ball. Pelayo Pabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Batuecas in the 66th minute of play. When Mateo Morales came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vegadeo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Morales couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vegadeo's Higinio Batuecas got a free kick in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Estudiantes LP fully deserved thier win.
