In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escanilla's goalkeeper Agusti Menendez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Selmo Dulce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Vacas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quilino Alabern read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 31 played minutes El Toboso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Goi Ponce. After a defensive mix-up in Escanilla's zone, Selmo Dulce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agusti Menendez came out of the goal and Selmo Dulce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anton Vacas came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Escanilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Vacas couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Xose Abellan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quilino Alabern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florinio Castaño to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, El Toboso AFC's Luis Briso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agusti Menendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florinio Castaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Agusti Menendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Selmo Dulce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agusti Menendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes El Toboso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Barea Losada. Timoteo Rosario missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 63 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Quilino Alabern right hand side. After a rather tough play, El Toboso AFC's Luis Briso got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, El Toboso AFC's goalkeeper Quilino Alabern had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Vacas. 72 minutes into the match, Escanilla's goal looked a bit too open when Florinio Castaño came free, but Agusti Menendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Florinio Castaño managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Toboso AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florinio Castaño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agusti Menendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Selmo Dulce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of El Toboso AFC booed when Escanilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aberri Barro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
