Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Virgilio Castelao kicked off to start the match. Sopelana's Dalmai Zapater got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hori Losada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Peio Sainz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Sopelana's Dalmai Zapater sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peio Sainz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dalmai Zapater scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peio Sainz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmai Zapater in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peio Sainz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cordarell Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Marcos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Sopelana's Hori Losada got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peio Sainz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnau Manrique in the 18th minute of play. Peio Sainz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnau Manrique in the 20th minute of the match. Dalmai Zapater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peio Sainz having to interfere. The supporters of Sopelana booed when Racing de Ferrol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Castelao didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Racing de Ferrol's goal looked a bit too open when Arnau Manrique came free, but Peio Sainz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Dalmai Zapater left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sopelana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hori Losada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peio Sainz having to interfere. Peio Sainz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmai Zapater, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Arnau Manrique recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmai Zapater stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hori Losada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmai Zapater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peio Sainz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hori Losada in the 63rd minute of play forced Racing de Ferrol's goalkeeper Peio Sainz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sopelana's Dalmai Zapater slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peio Sainz. That made the score 0-4 after 64 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Racing de Ferrol's zone, Hori Losada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peio Sainz came out of the goal and Hori Losada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hori Losada was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Sopelana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arnau Manrique could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Peio Sainz made a huge save. Hori Losada in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peio Sainz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Juan Abrego put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Peio Sainz. Arnau Manrique sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Abrego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Peio Sainz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peio Sainz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hori Losada's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Peio Sainz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmai Zapater, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Abrego in the 92nd minute of play forced Racing de Ferrol's goalkeeper Peio Sainz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sopelana fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Sopelana's Hori Losada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match was over Sopelana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Racing de Ferrol throughout the match.
