Badaguas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Txema Gibert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodor Madariaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aparicio Garay was the one to do the kick off. Ronny Zwinkels hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Alfonso Verdu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Badaguas FC's Rosendo Gentza didn't even have to move. If Tano Palencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kennet Byström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodor Madariaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kennet Byström's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Vuelta in the 73rd minute of play forced Union La Vega's goalkeeper Teodor Madariaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asdrubal Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Vuelta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Badaguas FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Byström in the 89th minute of play forced Union La Vega's goalkeeper Teodor Madariaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Union La Vega could leave the field as winners, despite Badaguas FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
