The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Quintas during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinebre SD's Gaspar Gonzalez got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vinebre SD's zone, Bibiano Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barea Cortes came out of the goal and Bibiano Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barea Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lordi Grau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Lordi Grau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barea Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Labastida SD's Montez Gomar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Labastida SD from getting a goal against them. After the first half Labastida SD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 70th minute Abejundio Zafrilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montez Gomar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Gaspar Gonzalez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vinebre SD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Labastida SD's Milio Cano got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Ignacio Millán made a precise shot to the right of Montez Gomar. Labastida SD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the referee ended the match the Vinebre SD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
