Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rutenio Aguilar got the match started through his kick off. Urbasa Companys came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C.D. Espanyol's Quentin Sánchez. But to his dismay, Quentin Sánchez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, R.C.D. Espanyol's Aurelio Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urbasa Companys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, R.C.D. Espanyol's Isauro Quesada got a free kick in the 12th minute. R.C.D. Espanyol's Edur Camara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutenio Aguilar in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Aballe during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of R.C.D. Espanyol booed when Guisguey CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Aballe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Guisguey CD's Ricardo Aballe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edur Camara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rutenio Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricardo Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Edur Camara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Sánchez in the 33rd minute of play forced Guisguey CD's goalkeeper Urbasa Companys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 41st minute when Rutenio Aguilar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Zubizarreta during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucas Zubizarreta hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quentin Sánchez to make the kick off. Lucas Zubizarreta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edur Camara having to make a save. If Rutenio Aguilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edur Camara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Aballe in the 56th minute of the match. Ginés Barrios's late challenge caught a Guisguey CD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ginés Barrios helped the player get up and apologised. Edur Camara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutenio Aguilar in the 61st minute of play. After 64 played minutes Quentin Sánchez rounded Guisguey CD's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Aurelio Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Urbasa Companys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Isauro Quesada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C.D. Espanyol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guisguey CD the free kick. If Quentin Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guisguey CD's goalkeeper Urbasa Companys, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Aurelio Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbasa Companys. Guisguey CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurelio Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Ricardo Aballe struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Edur Camara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guisguey CD. In the 94th minute, Lucas Zubizarreta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The R.C.D. Espanyol players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
