Aiert Serena started the match with the kick off. Rolando Segarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Ortega having to interfere. Albino Cardeñosa's late challenge caught a Alcala De Ebro AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Cardeñosa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Alcala De Ebro AD booed when San Fernando CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Cardeñosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alcala De Ebro AD's Kaiet Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Bartumeu in the 22nd minute of play. Eladio Bartumeu scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaiet Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Alcala De Ebro AD's goal looked a bit too open when Eladio Bartumeu came free, but Kaiet Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alcala De Ebro AD's Kaiet Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aiert Serena in the 34th minute of play. Kaiet Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Bartumeu in the 36th minute of play. Rolando Segarra might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lano Ortega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolando Segarra ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half San Fernando CD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Montrel Campoamor kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, San Fernando CD's Aiert Serena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaiet Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lano Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garci Santander in the 62nd minute of the match. Omar Alacuart charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Alacuart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Alcala De Ebro AD got a freekick which was hit by Omar Alacuart. After a defensive mix-up in San Fernando CD's zone, Garci Santander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lano Ortega came out of the goal and Garci Santander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Segarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Ortega having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando CD's goalkeeper Lano Ortega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lano Ortega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garci Santander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Segarra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lano Ortega having to make a save. Garci Santander took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lano Ortega. Lano Ortega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the San Fernando CD defense, Garci Santander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lano Ortega. The San Fernando CD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lano Ortega should have stopped the shot. Aiert Serena struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Kaiet Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Fernando CD. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Fernando CD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Alcala De Ebro AD.
