Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rami Lopez de Toro in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lano Ortega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albi Vuelta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, San Fernando CD's Jerold Duran got a free kick in the 9th minute. Rami Lopez de Toro struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Lano Ortega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portonovo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rami Lopez de Toro in the 12th minute of play forced San Fernando CD's goalkeeper Lano Ortega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to San Fernando CD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jerold Duran hit a great ball. Lano Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rami Lopez de Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Tartalo Darroja hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Xerardo Vila sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and San Fernando CD's Lano Ortega didn't even have to move. After 19 played minutes Portonovo got a freekick which was hit by Zuriko Abellan. With a little luck, Portonovo's Giro Leon got control of the ball when Eladio Bartumeu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aiert Serena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando CD's goalkeeper Lano Ortega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Albi Vuelta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lano Ortega was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 33 played minutes San Fernando CD got a freekick which was hit by Tartalo Darroja. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando CD's goalkeeper Lano Ortega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Albi Vuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portonovo's supporters rose to their feet, but Albi Vuelta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lano Ortega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eufrasio Armada hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, San Fernando CD's Albino Cardeñosa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rami Lopez de Toro was the one to do the kick off. Portonovo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Fernando CD the free kick. A collision led to Portonovo getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Eufrasio Armada hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, San Fernando CD's Aiert Serena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giro Leon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, San Fernando CD's Lano Ortega got control of the ball when Albi Vuelta tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Portonovo booed when San Fernando CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tartalo Darroja didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Aiert Serena sped through Portonovo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giro Leon. 92 minutes into the game, Garin Zubizarreta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portonovo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Fernando CD the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portonovo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for San Fernando CD.
