Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Iguanzo's goal looked a bit too open when Julián Mendez came free, but Yoel Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes in the game, Gabriel Aznar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yoel Rodriguez having to interfere. Antonio Paredes charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Paredes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonio Paredes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The wind increased when Gabriel Aznar made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Iguanzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Mora to maneuver through the defense. Tato Alonso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ekhi Dellasierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yoel Rodriguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd match minute, Iguanzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabino Vilanova to maneuver through the defense. Yoel Rodriguez came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético's Gabriel Aznar. But to his dismay, Gabriel Aznar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Yoel Rodriguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético. When the match clock showed 99 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Gabriel Aznar sped through Iguanzo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yoel Rodriguez. Atlético's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
