The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augusto Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estefan Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estefan Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Bernal having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, San Adrian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Airas Perpiñán to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to O Confurco getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nicolás Riba hit a great ball. Horacio Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Macias Taules tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Horacio Barrientos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Raúl Parra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macias Taules saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Adrian's Raúl Parra got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horacio Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Macias Taules tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manolito Roca struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Augusto Bernal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O Confurco. 34 minutes into the match, O Confurco's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Parra came free, but Macias Taules reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of O Confurco booed when San Adrian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aliecer Coira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Ugaitz Murcia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Bernal skillfully saved the ball. San Adrian's Horacio Barrientos got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macias Taules prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Baltasar Camaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match O Confurco got a corner. San Adrian's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ugaitz Murcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ugaitz Murcia made a great header on O Confurco's corner, it was just that San Adrian's Augusto Bernal managed to reach the ball for a save. Manolito Roca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
