An unexpectedly hard shot by Tipi Barrios in the 9th minute of play forced Isla Cristina's goalkeeper Aureo Abellan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaio Galdamez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isaio Galdamez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isla Cristina's Aureo Abellan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tipi Barrios in the 20th minute of play. When Isaio Galdamez fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Isla Cristina's protests and gave Isaio Galdamez a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Morrano's Raymond Puig got a free kick in the 59th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Morrano's Asdrubal Echavarri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureo Abellan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Isla Cristina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Morrano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
