Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maarek Lusik took the kick off in the first half of the match. René Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarek Lusik, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th match minute, Sportiva Ovetense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barto Olmos to maneuver through the defense. René Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arlindo Pinho went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 19 played minutes Sportiva Ovetense got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Zapico. In the 32nd minute Henric Coello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Jon Obis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of René Pais. Real Santander CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jon Obis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 41st match minute, Real Santander CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Suarez to maneuver through the defense. René Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maarek Lusik went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Aristeo Vuelta made the kick off in the second half. René Pais came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportiva Ovetense's Arlindo Pinho. But to his dismay, Arlindo Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Real Santander CF's René Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarek Lusik in the 58th minute of play. Claudio Nueva hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Real Santander CF booed when Sportiva Ovetense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Obis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maarek Lusik in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Pais saved Real Santander CF from getting behind. In the 67th match minute, Real Santander CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Niva to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Barto Olmos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportiva Ovetense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barto Olmos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Santander CF's René Pais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Real Santander CF from getting a goal against them. René Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Pinho in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristeo Vuelta in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Torrent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aquiles Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sportiva Ovetense played a much better game than Real Santander CF and deserved their victory. The Real Santander CF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
