Derwin Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tato Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Cordeal Pujol kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Fermín Macías fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derwin Mendez having to interfere. Leonardo Pabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Bencoiechea in the 15th minute of play. Rigoberto Bencoiechea struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Leonardo Pabon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelerta UD. Sinforoso Zamora hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Pelerta UD defense, Tato Mendez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derwin Mendez. The Pelerta UD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derwin Mendez should have stopped the shot. Fermín Macías sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tato Mendez in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derwin Mendez saved Pelerta UD from getting behind. In the 30th minute Fermín Macías shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derwin Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derwin Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermín Macías, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Fermín Macías fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derwin Mendez having to interfere. Fermín Macías recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermín Macías fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derwin Mendez having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Fermín Macías made the kick off in the second half. Derwin Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermín Macías, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Derwin Mendez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salobreña FC! 72 minutes into the match, Pelerta UD's Xuoco Alfaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Pabon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Bencoiechea in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Pabon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salobreña FC's Araoz Torrente shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Derwin Mendez but with some difficulty. Miguel Gomar hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Loren Sarrate took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonardo Pabon. Salobreña FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Pelerta UD got a corner. Salobreña FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loren Sarrate ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rigoberto Bencoiechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Leonardo Pabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Rigoberto Bencoiechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pelerta UD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 92 played minutes Pelerta UD got a freekick which was hit by Aitor Raya. Tato Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derwin Mendez having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Pelerta UD's goal looked a bit too open when Fermín Macías came free, but Derwin Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
