The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicanor Izquierdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Prieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Zuriko Olle hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Xaiver Saez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Florencio Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zabal Hidalgo's late challenge caught a TOMCATS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zabal Hidalgo helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Zabal Hidalgo. Florencio Velazquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaiver Saez in the 19th minute of play. Dino Batuecas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Velazquez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Batuecas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Velazquez saved Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F. from getting behind. In the 34th match minute, Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zabal Hidalgo to maneuver through the defense. Machado Gene was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alvar Fuentes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, one of Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.. Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.:s Florencio Velazquez showed great skill when he stopped Machado Gene:s penalty. Israel Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zuriko Olle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TOMCATS were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xaiver Saez was the one to do the kick off. Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Xaiver Saez 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Xaiver Saez might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florencio Velazquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xaiver Saez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Xaiver Saez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 63 minutes, Israel Navas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Navas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dino Batuecas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Florencio Velazquez made a huge save. After having played for 72 minutes, Zuriko Olle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zuriko Olle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dino Batuecas charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Batuecas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlomagno Sacristán during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, TOMCATS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlomagno Sacristán to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes, Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F.'s Teobaldo Navarro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicanor Izquierdo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Fuenlabreño C.F. reached it. TOMCATS's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaiver Saez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Velazquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. TOMCATS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
