An unexpectedly hard shot by Garin Peña in the 3rd minute of play forced Club futbol Cardona's goalkeeper Peli Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilesindo Ponce De Leon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Peli Alonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peli Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garin Peña in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Federico Baeza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peli Alonso, 1-0. Abelardo Benito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerrold De Paula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Etor Sanz's late challenge caught a Club futbol Cardona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Etor Sanz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rossell getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Etor Sanz hit a great ball. Club futbol Cardona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Federico Baeza scored to the left of an out of position Peli Alonso, making the score, 2-0. In the 23rdth minute of the game Abelardo Benito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossell's Gonzalo Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Felipillo Casillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Benito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Bueno was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Benito in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Benito in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonzalo Bueno saved Rossell from getting behind. Club futbol Cardona's Adán Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abelardo Benito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrold De Paula in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garin Peña to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Club futbol Cardona's Anxelu Alabern got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Peli Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Crespo in the 55th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rossell reached it. In the 73rd minute Federico Baeza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peli Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peli Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Crespo in the 74th minute of the match. Club futbol Cardona's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the game, Fernando Abascal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gonzalo Bueno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Benito in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josep Cartagena was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes Club futbol Cardona got a freekick which was hit by Josep Cartagena. Club futbol Cardona's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Rossell had won, even though Club futbol Cardona had held more of the ball.
