Alcorcón's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sergio España was a little too slow when Beturian Aranzubia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Mariano Zapata charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Zapata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Churra got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Zapata. Sergio España made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cebrián Lermo in the 27th minute. Sergio España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beturian Aranzubia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alcorcón booed when Churra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio España made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beturian Aranzubia in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Arotza Nueva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Churra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcorcón the free kick. Ekialde Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orti Galnares, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Cebrián Lermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Manel Amer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcorcón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Churra the free kick.

In the 52nd minute Cebrián Lermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ametz Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Ametz Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 73rd minute of the match Arotza Nueva completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arotza Nueva a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Arotza Nueva kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cebrián Lermo in the 75th minute of play forced Churra's goalkeeper Sergio España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Churra booed when Alcorcón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beturian Aranzubia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beturian Aranzubia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beturian Aranzubia in the 82nd minute of play forced Churra's goalkeeper Sergio España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Cebrián Lermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
