Nicodemo Sacristán's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moisés Uria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Jose-Antonio Riba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidor Romero in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Montez De Pedro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isidor Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Gorka Companys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aeropuerto Internacional De Almería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gorka Companys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. César Escobar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Isidor Romero struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jose-Antonio Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aeropuerto Internacional De Almería. 42 minutes into the match, Xeneize FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidor Romero came free, but Jose-Antonio Riba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romo Lopez hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Jose-Antonio Riba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidor Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes, Isidor Romero made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Xeneize FC's Jose-Antonio Riba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

A collision led to Aeropuerto Internacional De Almería getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eligio Bacete hit a great ball. The long shot by Bero Gomar in the 55th minute really tested Moisés Uria's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Xeneize FC's Jose-Antonio Riba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gorka Companys in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Isidor Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But to his dismay, Tobias Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 70 minutes, César Escobar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xeneize FC and the Aeropuerto Internacional De Almería players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicodemo Sacristán hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
