The supporters of R.Madrid booed when Alfocea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Goyanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argenis Urruti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Veloso having to interfere. Angel Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Argenis Urruti in the 12th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Rencio Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rencio Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zigor Roig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Thiago Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Alfocea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimar Paris to maneuver through the defense. Argenis Urruti got in the 43rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Angel Veloso handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 74 played minutes, R.Madrid's Petri Alfaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angel Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in R.Madrid reached it. After a defensive mix-up in R.Madrid's zone, Zigor Roig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufo Toledo came out of the goal and Zigor Roig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zigor Roig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rufo Toledo made a huge save. When Rencio Romero fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R.Madrid's protests and gave Rencio Romero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alfocea booed when R.Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rencio Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball.
