In the 13th match minute, Lamasdeite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Morales to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Morales in the 18th minute of play forced Mesas De Santiago SD's goalkeeper Maximiano Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceandro Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiano Molina having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Martín De Paula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mesas De Santiago SD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamasdeite the free kick. The supporters of Lamasdeite booed when Mesas De Santiago SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín De Paula didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Lamasdeite's Marciano Morales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximiano Molina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zoel Nueva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Montrel Barral in the 38th minute. Baltazar Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Zoel Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Montrel Barral came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mesas De Santiago SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Montrel Barral couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Zosimo Alavedra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesas De Santiago SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zosimo Alavedra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoel Nueva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the match, Mesas De Santiago SD's Zosimo Alavedra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zoel Nueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zosimo Alavedra was the one to do the kick off. Zosimo Alavedra scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zoel Nueva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ceandro Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiano Molina having to interfere. Montrel Barral might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zoel Nueva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Montrel Barral ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Mesas De Santiago SD getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Montrel Barral hit a great ball. Maximiano Molina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marciano Morales in the 73rd minute. Zosimo Alavedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Zoel Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lamasdeite's goalkeeper Zoel Nueva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lamasdeite's zone, Montrel Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoel Nueva came out of the goal and Montrel Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiano Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceandro Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Lamasdeite defense, Zosimo Alavedra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zoel Nueva. The Lamasdeite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zoel Nueva should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mesas De Santiago SD fully deserved thier win.
