Sevilla CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Euloxu Fuster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Zapatero in the 10th minute of play forced Sevilla CF's goalkeeper Clemencin Villafane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Arturo Domenech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gartzea Esteban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sindo Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sevilla CF defense, Nacho Morales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemencin Villafane. The Sevilla CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemencin Villafane should have stopped the shot. Gartzea Esteban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Higuera got free with Sindo Nueva in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nacho Morales blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemencin Villafane having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Real Club Huelva's Nacho Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemencin Villafane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sindo Nueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gartzea Esteban in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Morales in the 34th minute of play forced Sevilla CF's goalkeeper Clemencin Villafane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemencin Villafane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Calvo in the 36th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Peter Aguilar put in a rough tackle. Peter Aguilar kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Sevilla CF's Lonzo Santalla broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Manuel Zapatero made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sevilla CF getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Juan Higuera hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, Manuel Zapatero notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sevilla CF's Clemencin Villafane. Clemencin Villafane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Zapatero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemencin Villafane having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derwin Zubiaga during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Derwin Zubiaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Madaleno Etxeberria during the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sevilla CF's goalkeeper Clemencin Villafane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sevilla CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Club Huelva the free kick. A collision led to Sevilla CF getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Altzibar Olmos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Arturo Domenech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Club Huelva's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Domenech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemencin Villafane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Celso Calvo could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-3 into the left cross. Sindo Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Euloxu Fuster, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Euloxu Fuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sindo Nueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Zapatero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Clemencin Villafane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Club Huelva's goalkeeper Sindo Nueva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemencin Villafane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hechter Coya showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 87 minute of play. Lonzo Santalla got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Altzibar Olmos. 93 minutes into the match, Sevilla CF's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Zapatero came free, but Clemencin Villafane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Real Club Huelva left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sevilla CF.
