Xuoco Cuevas struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Alfonso Olano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burkina Faso OwN. The supporters of Burkina Faso OwN booed when Roquetes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Camaño didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Roquetes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurin Navarro to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Concetto Bassani put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfonso Olano. Robustiano Torres made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Zoilo Solana sent off a good shot on target. Victor Moreno struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. If Xuoco Cuevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Xuoco Cuevas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burkina Faso OwN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xuoco Cuevas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Concetto Bassani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Roquetes's zone, Narciso Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Olano came out of the goal and Narciso Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Xuoco Cuevas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burkina Faso OwN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xuoco Cuevas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Concetto Bassani to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Xuoco Cuevas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfonso Olano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Robustiano Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Moreno in the 56th minute of play. Xuoco Cuevas might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Olano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xuoco Cuevas ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfonso Olano was a little too slow when Concetto Bassani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Roquetes's zone, Xuoco Cuevas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Olano came out of the goal and Xuoco Cuevas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Olano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xuoco Cuevas in the 70th minute. Xuoco Cuevas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoilo Solana in the 76th minute of play forced Burkina Faso OwN's goalkeeper Robustiano Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Laurin Navarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Robustiano Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Genaro Camaño's late challenge caught a Burkina Faso OwN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Camaño helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Genaro Camaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xuoco Cuevas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Concetto Bassani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Victor Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Robustiano Torres. Burkina Faso OwN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Robustiano Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Olano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Bassani in the 96th minute of play. Burkina Faso OwN were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
