When Roi Fonticoba fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's protests and gave Roi Fonticoba a yellow card for diving instead. Roi Fonticoba kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ursino Moreno's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Atauri Zaplana firmly grabbed it by the left post. Atauri Zaplana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inautzi Duran, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 10th minute Inautzi Duran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atauri Zaplana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ursino Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Giranes SAD booed when Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Crespo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ursino Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inautzi Duran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Atauri Zaplana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Roi Fonticoba hit a great ball. Ursino Moreno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Atauri Zaplana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 23 played minutes Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Crespo. Inautzi Duran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Atauri Zaplana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atauri Zaplana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inautzi Duran in the 31st minute of the match. Ursino Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atauri Zaplana having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Giranes SAD's Amaro Casero got a free kick in the 35th minute. Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's Frances Contreras couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Giranes SAD. Franco Turienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlito Jimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Giranes SAD's Nono Carballido got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Ursino Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franco Turienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Quintero, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toño Silva during the 49th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nono Carballido's shot from long distance in the 51st minute was not bad at all, but Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's Atauri Zaplana knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Inautzi Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giranes SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inautzi Duran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Inautzi Duran came free, but Atauri Zaplana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Ursino Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's Atauri Zaplana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Inautzi Duran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atauri Zaplana. Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inautzi Duran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inautzi Duran in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atauri Zaplana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ursino Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlito Jimenez struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Franco Turienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC. Ursino Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
