Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martín Canosa started the match with the kick off. Jorge Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Guasch having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Jorge Quintero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Quintero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Guasch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC booed when Alzira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tartalo Marines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute of the match Toño Silva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ubaldo Guasch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Martín Canosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's goalkeeper Atauri Zaplana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martín Canosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Carlito Jimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Guasch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 53 played minutes Alzira got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Moreira. 56 minutes into the game, one of Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Alzira. Tartalo Marines stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Atauri Zaplana. 1-0. In the 61st minute Carlito Jimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Guasch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Guasch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlito Jimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Clos scored 2-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atauri Zaplana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ubaldo Guasch didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Ubaldo Guasch made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Jorge Quintero sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Ubaldo Guasch managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's Jorge Quintero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute Alzira were awarded a corner. Tartalo Marines went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Quintero during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jorge Quintero hit a great ball. When Tartalo Marines came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Alzira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tartalo Marines couldn't finish the play. Valverde De Los Arroyos AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
