Celso Zubiaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Cugat Llorente made a huge save. Anakoz Encina hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Hussein Sampil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Remigio Pedriza. Vilatan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cugat Llorente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Aballe in the 12th minute of play. Vladimiro Aballe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cugat Llorente having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Zubiaga got free with Cugat Llorente in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimiro Aballe succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 21 minutes, Cilio Naranjo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilatan and the CB Ocaña players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cugat Llorente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Aballe in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Romano Sacristán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Zubiaga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Cugat Llorente skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Remigio Pedriza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Casanova in the 30th minute of play. Enrique Casanova struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Remigio Pedriza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CB Ocaña. After having played for 45 minutes, Vladimiro Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilatan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Aballe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cugat Llorente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Zubiaga in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimiro Aballe made a kick off. If Vladimiro Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Celso Zubiaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cugat Llorente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Aballe in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cugat Llorente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Zubiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CB Ocaña's zone, Vladimiro Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cugat Llorente came out of the goal and Vladimiro Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Celso Zubiaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cugat Llorente was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Vladimiro Aballe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cugat Llorente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 played minutes Vilatan got a freekick which was hit by Anakoz Encina. Vilatan's Remigio Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Casanova in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Aballe in the 77th minute of play forced CB Ocaña's goalkeeper Cugat Llorente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CB Ocaña's Cugat Llorente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Zubiaga in the 78th minute of play. Rogelio Manrique hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CB Ocaña's zone, Vladimiro Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cugat Llorente came out of the goal and Vladimiro Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Zubiaga took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cugat Llorente. Cugat Llorente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Remigio Pedriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Casanova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vladimiro Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vilatan fully deserved thier win.
