The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tello Prats in the 3rd minute of play forced El Escorial's goalkeeper Jorge Bermejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Almeidas short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Firmo Lastras to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Ricardo Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Escorial's protests and gave Ricardo Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Penosos FC booed when El Escorial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Bermejo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isauro Vagrande's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Jorge Bermejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tello Prats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ricardo Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Escorial's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firmo Lastras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Almeida got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ricardo Almeida hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Penosos FC's Tello Prats got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tello Prats took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Bermejo. Jorge Bermejo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jorge Bermejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tello Prats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Bermejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tello Prats, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jorge Bermejo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isauro Vagrande in the 47th minute of play.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Isauro Vagrande took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jorge Bermejo to make any attempt to save it. In the 55th minute, Quico Amorebieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Tello Prats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Bermejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes El Escorial got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Herrera. With a little luck, El Escorial's Jorge Bermejo got control of the ball when Isauro Vagrande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cilio Batuecas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, one of El Escorial:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Escorial. The referee gave Penosos FC a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cebrián Odín, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Escorial's Jorge Bermejo. 0-3. Jorge Bermejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tello Prats, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Joan Cardeñosa fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Escorial's protests and gave Joan Cardeñosa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Penosos FC booed when El Escorial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joan Cardeñosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes in the game, Isauro Vagrande fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jorge Bermejo having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Penosos FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
