San Bartolome's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Portillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in San Bartolome's zone, Donato Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Labarra came out of the goal and Donato Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Alabern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tabor Cuervas in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Tabor Cuervas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Bartolome's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Larraintzar AD the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Tabor Cuervas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heli Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Heli Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloy Ladra during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Larraintzar AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Ladra to maneuver through the defense. Tabor Cuervas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Marcelino Portillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Alabern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Ladra hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Tabor Cuervas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. David Alabern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Alabern showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tabor Cuervas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tabor Cuervas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Alabern having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Ranolfo Abasalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Bartolome and the Larraintzar AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ranolfo Abasalo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. During the 88th minute of the match Eloy Ladra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eloy Ladra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tabor Cuervas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Alabern having to interfere. Larraintzar AD's Heli Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. San Bartolome's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
