Furman Valines's late challenge caught a Melida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melida's Oihan Cacheres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarin Medina in the 21st minute of play. Andoitz Alfaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oihan Cacheres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cordarin Medina in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oihan Cacheres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cordarin Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oihan Cacheres having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Melida's Aristeo Torres made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Japón was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Aristeo Torres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. David Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Simon Duran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Japón. Black Old Dogs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tebaldo Canal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tebaldo Canal in the 55th minute of play forced Black Old Dogs's goalkeeper Juan Japón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Duran during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, one of Melida:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Melida.
