Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ezker Campoamor started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bozhko Kabedelov kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ibar Acarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ibar Acarreta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Porfiro España breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ibar Acarreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Poicu F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ibar Acarreta came free, but Porfiro España reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aita Turienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezker Campoamor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes, Troyes Carballido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poicu F.C. and the Rayo United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Troyes Carballido kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Ibar Acarreta made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Poicu F.C.'s Porfiro España tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Marciano Campello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poicu F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 26th minute Ezker Campoamor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aita Turienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes, Rayo United's Leocadio Villalcazar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Porfiro España came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rayo United reached it. In the 30th minute, Ibar Acarreta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Poicu F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Leo Moreira. Porfiro España made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibar Acarreta in the 33rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Ibar Acarreta sped through Poicu F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Porfiro España. 38 minutes into the match, Ibar Acarreta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Porfiro España. Poicu F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ibar Acarreta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Asier Armada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Ibar Acarreta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Rayo United booed when Poicu F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Ibar Acarreta made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Poicu F.C.'s Marciano Campello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aita Turienzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Artemio Marques hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Asier Armada was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Rayo United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Rayo United's Ibar Acarreta in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Porfiro España guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Ibar Acarreta struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Porfiro España didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo United. Porfiro España didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ibar Acarreta went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Porfiro España was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Asier Armada showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 70 minute of play. Porfiro España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asier Armada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rayo United defense, Marciano Campello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aita Turienzo. The Rayo United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aita Turienzo should have stopped the shot. When Leocadio Villalcazar fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rayo United's protests and gave Leocadio Villalcazar a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rayo United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
