Fredo Mayol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaume Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Racing Mediterraneo's Lluis Cambero got control of the ball when Ferdinand Barrios tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Celino Velazquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredo Mayol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ferdinand Barrios might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lluis Cambero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdinand Barrios ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Pierres Lozano in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fredo Mayol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierres Lozano in the 39th minute of the match. Vincente Alfaro's late challenge caught a Racing Mediterraneo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincente Alfaro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Racing Mediterraneo booed when Vinalesa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iosu Maestro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pudes Incera was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Chan Zapater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredo Mayol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pudes Incera in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lluis Cambero saved Racing Mediterraneo from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Ferdinand Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lluis Cambero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Pudes Incera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Barrios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Lluis Cambero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, Racing Mediterraneo's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Barrios came free, but Lluis Cambero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celino Velazquez kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Ferdinand Barrios made a precise shot to the right of Lluis Cambero. Racing Mediterraneo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Ferdinand Barrios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lluis Cambero having to interfere. Racing Mediterraneo's Lluis Cambero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pudes Incera in the 85th minute of play. If Ferdinand Barrios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes, Vinalesa AFC's Melquiades Domingo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lluis Cambero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vinalesa AFC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ferdinand Barrios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Mediterraneo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vinalesa AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
