After 7 played minutes Oteruelo got a freekick which was hit by Telesforo Folch. When Osmundo Companys came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Azagra CD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osmundo Companys couldn't finish the play. Anaia Valcarcel might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gorka Esteban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anaia Valcarcel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Osmundo Companys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18th play minutes Anaia Valcarcel shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Gorka Esteban and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 23rd minute, Azagra CD's Anaia Valcarcel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gorka Esteban. Gorka Esteban yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Xavier Sevilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blasi Riba in the 29th minute of play. Blasi Riba hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Rogelio Silvestre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gorka Esteban. Oteruelo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Azagra CD's Osmundo Companys got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gorka Esteban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Valcarcel in the 37th minute of the match. Gorka Esteban made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osmundo Companys in the 39th minute. Sinforiano Carballeira charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sinforiano Carballeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Oteruelo booed when Azagra CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sinforiano Carballeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolomé Alcalde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Sevilla having to interfere. Telesforo Folch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Sevilla having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anaia Valcarcel made a kick off. Anaia Valcarcel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomé Alcalde in the 67th minute of play forced Azagra CD's goalkeeper Xavier Sevilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oteruelo's goalkeeper Gorka Esteban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaia Valcarcel in the 71st minute of play forced Oteruelo's goalkeeper Gorka Esteban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gorka Esteban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmundo Companys in the 74th minute of play. Anaia Valcarcel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, one of Oteruelo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oteruelo. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Azagra CD. Rogelio Silvestre stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gorka Esteban. 3-0. Telesforo Folch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Sevilla having to interfere. Osmundo Companys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Telesforo Folch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oteruelo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
