The audience thought a goal was coming when Bero Gómez got free with Frasco Moya in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frasco Moya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ursino Mayor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frasco Moya was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Gartzen Cano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gartzen Cano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 44th minute, Rigoberto Iniesta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Izar Adán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frasco Moya acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Octavio Babia. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Roca was the one to do the kick off. Rafael Roca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Manuel Lama made a huge save. In the 58th minute Bero Gómez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Moya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Castrocan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gartzen Cano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, UD Socuéllamos's Rafael Roca got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Octavio Babia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frasco Moya. UD Socuéllamos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The nice shot from Rafael Roca in the 67thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Manuel Lama had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Frasco Moya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bero Gómez in the 68th minute of play. Ursino Mayor hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to Castrocan AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Amador Marin hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Inocencio Calvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Rigoberto Iniesta managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Socuéllamos's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Iniesta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Lama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Castrocan AFC's Bero Gómez got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Melkor Paris hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Gartzen Cano came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Castrocan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gartzen Cano couldn't finish the play. Frasco Moya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gartzen Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Frasco Moya came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Castrocan AFC's Ursino Mayor. But to his dismay, Ursino Mayor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
