Mahoma Vera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eufrasio Lama in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fresco Lama saved Contamina from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Contamina's William Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaskon Bastida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40thth minute of the game George Martinez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURLADORES's Gaskon Bastida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Pudes Solera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eufrasio Lama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fresco Lama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mahoma Vera fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Contamina's protests and gave Mahoma Vera a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
