Gonzo Solano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Montesinos's goalkeeper Aldo Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gonzo Solano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD's Nerio Litago in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 37th minute Gonzo Solano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolao Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Borrás hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Aldo Ramos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bahiano Quevedo. If Nerio Litago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peio Losantos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Aldo Ramos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Peio Losantos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD's supporters rose to their feet, but Peio Losantos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nerio Litago in the 47th minute of play forced CD Montesinos's goalkeeper Aldo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzo Solano made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD's Edilberto Batuecas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Paul Abellan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD got a freekick which was hit by Bahiano Quevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peio Losantos in the 61st minute of play forced CD Montesinos's goalkeeper Aldo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peio Losantos in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, CD Montesinos's goal looked a bit too open when Nerio Litago came free, but Aldo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Gonzo Solano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Montesinos's Aldo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edilberto Batuecas in the 82nd minute of play. Gonzo Solano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peio Losantos in the 86th minute of play forced CD Montesinos's goalkeeper Aldo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CD Montesinos getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. José Cruz hit a great ball. Urtsin Quiroga kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Aldo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nerio Litago, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD's Peio Losantos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the CD Montesinos defense, Peio Losantos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldo Ramos. The CD Montesinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldo Ramos should have stopped the shot. Santa Cruz De La Sierra UD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
