The audience thought a goal was coming when Almarín Bodelon got free with Eberardo Baltanas in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Mauro Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malpartit AFC's Xesc Echeto got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Xesc Echeto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Hierro was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Bilbo Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Malpartit AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Oro Zubizarreta came free, but Eberardo Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Molina might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Hierro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hilario Molina ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Trueba F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Xesc Echeto came free, but Fernando Hierro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oro Zubizarreta struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Eberardo Baltanas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trueba F.C..

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xesc Echeto made a kick off. Basilio Castaño hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trueba F.C.'s zone, Josias Turienzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Hierro came out of the goal and Josias Turienzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Almarín Bodelon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eberardo Baltanas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almarín Bodelon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eberardo Baltanas having to interfere. Trueba F.C.'s Almarín Bodelon got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bilbo Rey took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eberardo Baltanas. Eberardo Baltanas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Malpartit AFC booed when Trueba F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argi Turienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oro Zubizarreta kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Malpartit AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Almarín Bodelon came free, but Eberardo Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
