In the 8thth minute of the game Arias Lillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sopeña CD's Pepito Suarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oriche Morcego blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Palomares having to make a save. Cosme Palomares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oriche Morcego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Abad Marrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonifacio Camarasa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Afomele F.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Urtzi Bastida hit a great ball. Geleberto Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pepito Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geleberto Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Pancho Bouzas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sopeña CD booed when Afomele F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abad Marrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Sopeña CD's Bizen Alonso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gabriel Laredo's late challenge caught a Sopeña CD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Laredo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Afomele F.C's Gabriel Laredo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 60th minute Arias Lillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepito Suarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Sopeña CD's goalkeeper Pepito Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geleberto Bueno. 65 minutes in the game, Arias Lillo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pepito Suarez having to interfere. Cosme Palomares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afomele F.C's Cosme Palomares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pancho Bouzas in the 73rd minute of play. Oriche Morcego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cosme Palomares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Afomele F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Martínez came free, but Cosme Palomares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arias Lillo in the 81st minute of play forced Sopeña CD's goalkeeper Pepito Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afomele F.C's Cosme Palomares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Martínez in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Pascual Martínez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sopeña CD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascual Martínez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geleberto Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Martínez in the 99th minute of play forced Afomele F.C's goalkeeper Cosme Palomares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Afomele F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
