Eladio Bastida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arias Lillo in the 12th minute of the match. Cosme Palomares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Azofra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Arias Lillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afomele F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Arias Lillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eladio Bastida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Chelva SD booed when Afomele F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtzi Bastida didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Chelva SD booed when Afomele F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abad Marrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Arias Lillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eladio Bastida having to interfere. Eladio Bastida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geleberto Bueno in the 67th minute of the match. Eladio Bastida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geleberto Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play, Afomele F.C's Geleberto Bueno made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eladio Bastida was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Geleberto Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Afomele F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
