The audience was convinced that Sebastián Llinares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zernin Griful was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Baiardo Landa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Els Orriols were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baiardo Landa was the one to do the kick off. The Els Orriols fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Els Orriols's Baiardo Landa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zernin Griful took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baiardo Landa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
