Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 5 minutes, Mambru Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santander SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mambru Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paco Sirvent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pio Flores having to interfere. Severino Quijana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aladino Echeto came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Quijana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Santander SD's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Quijana came free, but Aladino Echeto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pio Flores came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Santander SD's Paco Sirvent. But to his dismay, Paco Sirvent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 20th minute, Santander SD's Maurino Pedraza seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maurino Pedraza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santander SD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maurino Pedraza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 25th minute, Xaiver Guerrero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Santander SD's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Gibert came free, but Aladino Echeto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, one of Santander SD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 32nd minute, Xaiver Guerrero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santander SD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 37th minute, Nemesio Etxeberria made a precise shot to the right of Pio Flores. El Valerin AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luke Menendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute Mambru Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pio Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Valerin AFC's zone, Xaiver Guerrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pio Flores came out of the goal and Xaiver Guerrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emeterio Cainzos to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Luke Menendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 54th minute, Emeterio Cainzos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xaiver Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pio Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Evaristo Serra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in El Valerin AFC's zone, Mambru Reyes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pio Flores came out of the goal and Mambru Reyes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Santander SD's Mambru Reyes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 68th minute, El Valerin AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xaiver Guerrero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Santander SD's Mambru Reyes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pio Flores. That made the score 1-5 after 70 minutes of play. Pio Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mambru Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mambru Reyes got free with Pio Flores in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Justin Gandia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pio Flores quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pio Flores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mambru Reyes in the 78th minute. With his leg Pio Flores managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Santander SD's Xaiver Guerrero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 80 minutes into the game, Mambru Reyes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pio Flores. Mambru Reyes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. If Mambru Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xaiver Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pio Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaiver Guerrero in the 89th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mambru Reyes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pio Flores. That made the score 1-7 in the 94 minute of play. The El Valerin AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santander SD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
