The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Melkor Bencoiechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. In the 14th minute of the match, Melquiades Ortiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nisio Doblas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. SUSPIKACIA's Nisio Doblas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SUSPIKACIA from getting a goal against them. SUSPIKACIA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaizka Nueva 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Maureo Arratia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melkor Bencoiechea in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Gaizka Nueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nisio Doblas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maureo Arratia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zuri Fernandez went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Melkor Bencoiechea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SUSPIKACIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torres De La Alameda CD the free kick. When Hernán Sánchez fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SUSPIKACIA's protests and gave Hernán Sánchez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SUSPIKACIA getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hernán Sánchez hit a great ball. Gaizka Nueva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nisio Doblas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Torres De La Alameda CD booed when SUSPIKACIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuri Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Torres De La Alameda CD were awarded a corner. Eladio Ballesteros went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Torres De La Alameda CD's corner Eladio Ballesteros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nisio Doblas quite easily take care of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaizka Nueva to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SUSPIKACIA's zone, Araoz Coello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nisio Doblas came out of the goal and Araoz Coello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nisio Doblas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Araoz Coello in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Araoz Coello in the 59th minute of play forced SUSPIKACIA's goalkeeper Nisio Doblas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Gaizka Nueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nisio Doblas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Torres De La Alameda CD booed when SUSPIKACIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuri Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 minutes, Zuri Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SUSPIKACIA and the Torres De La Alameda CD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Torres De La Alameda CD's Araoz Coello got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Melkor Bencoiechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUSPIKACIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melkor Bencoiechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zuri Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zuri Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Maureo Arratia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gaizka Nueva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torres De La Alameda CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaizka Nueva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nisio Doblas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaizka Nueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nisio Doblas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melkor Bencoiechea struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Maureo Arratia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUSPIKACIA. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
